The Greenworks Pro 80 GBL80300 80-volt 500 CFM leaf blower and the Worx Turbine WG591 56-volt 465 CFM blower are two of our best cordless leaf blowers. In this post, we compare them head to head.
- 125 MPH
- 500 CFM
- 80 Volt system
- 20 to 70 minute run-time
- 8.2 lbs with stock 2Ah battery
- Battery compatible with:
- String Trimmer
- 26″ Hedge Trimmer
- Lawnmower
- 10″ Pole Saw
- Larger battery capacity options
- 125 MPH
- 465 CFM
- 56 Volt System
- 15 to 40 minutes run-time
- 8.1 lbs with stock 2.5Ah battery
- Battery compatible with:
- String Trimmer & Wheeled Edger
- 24″ Hedge Trimmer
- Turbo Boost speed
Both of these cordless leaf blowers have equal MPH ratings, but the Worx CFM is 7% less than the Greenworks Pro. The Greenworks Pro blower has a higher voltage system and we usually see longer run-times as a result. Run-time is one of the most difficult measures to gauge due to numerous variables such as running at a low or high power setting and for how long. Yet reports in the field suggest the Greenworks Pro has a better range of run-time.
Many of the cordless tool manufacturers have designed sets of tools that use the same compatible battery. A common battery can reduce your costs by allowing you to share it with several tools commonly used in the yard. Unfortunately, Worx discontinued their 56 Volt lawnmower recently reducing their list of options. Greenworks Pro has several excellent compatible tools for the yard.
Conclusion
The Greenworks Pro unit wins out on most measures and has more compatible options. Unless you already have some Worx 56 volt tools, we think the Greenworks Pro is the better choice.
