The [easyazon_link identifier=”B00R6Z4SEQ” locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Greenworks Pro[/easyazon_link] has been our top pick for almost 3 years. The [easyazon_link identifier=”B01IY813X2″ locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Snapper XD[/easyazon_link] is the first to come close to knocking the Greenworks Pro off our top slot. The snapper XD moves more air (CFM) by 10% with a slightly faster MPH. At this point, you might think we’d give Snapper the win. But not so fast.

The Snapper XD suffers from what a lot of over 500 CFM battery-powered leaf blowers do: a short battery life. At full speed, the blower lasts for about 15 minutes which is hardly enough time to get a job done. Slow the blower down to its lowest speed and it can only run for 40-minutes. Whereas the Greenworks Pro can go for 70 minutes. We’ve seen this with other leaf blowers that break the 500 CFM limit utilizing the current battery technology. They are powerful but they just don’t last long.

There is one possible save for the Snapper XD and that is their optional larger capacity batteries. They sell a 4Ah and a 5Ah battery. Using one of those larger batteries, in theory, could possibly give you 45 minutes of run time at full power. The catch is that these larger capacity batteries cost more than the blower alone.

But Greenworks Pro also has a 4Ah battery that in theory would double its run time giving the Greenworks Pro the win.

Conclusion

The [easyazon_link identifier=”B00R6Z4SEQ” locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Greenworks Pro[/easyazon_link] is still our top choice and our recommendation over the [easyazon_link identifier=”B01IY813X2″ locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Snapper XD[/easyazon_link]. The Greenworks Pro can run up to 70 minutes at low speeds which is more than the Snapper’s 40 minutes. The Greenworks Pro wins a head to head comparison.

If you only need a leaf blower and a few other battery-powered yard tools, then the [easyazon_link identifier=”B00R6Z4SEQ” locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Greenworks Pro[/easyazon_link] is the best choice.

If you have other Snapper XD tools (not the 48-volt versions), then you could buy the [easyazon_link identifier=”B01IY814KO” locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]Snapper XD blower only[/easyazon_link] and [easyazon_link identifier=”B07JJ1JLKJ” locale=”US” tag=”about10b-20″]a large capacity battery[/easyazon_link] and boost your setup nicely.
